Da Nang provides the best support for tourists

The Visitor Center under the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre has become a familiar address for domestic and international tourists while visiting the city.

Ms. Le Thi Ai Chung has worked for with the Visitor Center for nearly 10 years, and she has dealt with different situations in which visitors came to ask for tourism information, as well as ask for help to deal with their tourism-related problems, such as losing their way and their property. All complaints and problems have been handled quickly and effectively, bringing satisfaction to tourists.

For example, in late July, the Visitor Center located at 108 Bach Dang received a a local resident who picked up a tourist’s black backpack left at the APEC Culture Park. The center’s staff found the owner through his personal papers and other important items after checking the left backpack, and they returned it to its owners.

Mrs Nguyen Thi My Hanh, the Director of the Visitor Center, said that after nearly 10 years of operation, the center has built trust among domestic and international tourists. The Visitor Centre at 108 Bach Dang Street, plus 2 tourist information desks at the Da Nang International Airport, are exerting every effort to provide timely assistance and the best support for domestic and foreign visitors.

At any information counters of the center, visitors will receive free tourist maps, leaflets, brochures, and publications on tourist attractions, accommodation facilities, tourism services and foods in Da Nang in such foreign languages ​as English, Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean. They will be given advice, guidance and introduction about high-quality tourist service facilities, sightseeing tours to make their trips enjoyable.

Mrs Huynh Thi Huong Lan, the Deputy Director of the Visitor Center said that the focus has been on regularly training the staff to provide the best help for visitors, increasing the use of information technology in visitor support with the use of Travis One which supports voice translation in more than 80 languages for full global coverage to allow the center’s staff to find it easy to communicate with tourists from around the world in an effort to help tourists access information in a quick, accurate and effective manner in addition to building software applications in managing tourist information.

In its efforts to provide enthusiastic guidance and the best posstive support for tourists as well as put the visitor’s satisfaction first, the Visitor Center is increasing the importance of its roles and responsibilities in order to contribute to promoting a friendly, hospitable and professional image of Da Nang tourism among domestic and foreign tourists as well as provide timely support for them while they are in in Da Nang.

Providing support for 15,900 visitors and receiving 13,283 calls from visitors in first 8 months of 2022

Established in 2013, the Da Nang Visitor Center is under the management of the the Danang Tourism Promotion Center to provide free tourist information and support for tourists. During the first eight months of this year, the Visitor Center at 108 Bach Dang Street along with two the tourist information desks at the airport welcomed 15,900 visitors who come to ask for tourism information. Besides, 13,283 visitors called the support centre’s hotline on (0236) 3 550111 and 261 others sent emails to the center to ask for such information.
