The provincial People’s Committee has just issued Decision No. 1419/QD-UBND on July 30th, 2024, regarding the recognition of Mo Hamlet Community Tourism Site.
Mo Hamlet community tourism focuses on preserving and promoting the cultural values to attract tourists.
Located in Binh Thanh Commune (Cao Phong), Mo Hamlet community tourism develops based on the pristine natural landscape and the unique culture of the ethnic minorities through the traditional stilt houses and the daily life of Muong people. The hamlet has 36 households participating in the community tourism. The hamlet has established a community tourism cooperative that focuses on preserving the cultural identity, reviving the traditional crafts, protecting the ecological environment, and developing the distinctive tourism products to effectively utilize tourism resources and attract domestic and international visitors.
Especially with the attention and support of the province, Mo Hamlet community tourism has met the conditions to be recognized: it has tourism resources; the necessary infrastructure and services to ensure serving tourists; social security and order; and environmental protection… This contributes to promoting the safe and sustainable exploitation and investment development of the Community Tourism Site.
According to the Decision, the management, exploitation, and development of the Community Tourism Site are assigned to Binh Thanh Commune’s People’s Committee and Mo Hamlet Community Tourism Cooperative.
