This is an effort with the desire to help domestic and international tourists gain a deeper understanding of the handicraft villages of ASEAN countries, enhancing awareness, dialogue, cultural exchange, and friendly relations among member countries, especially in the context of ASEAN’s efforts to build the ASEAN Community by 2025.
Also, the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups inaugurated the application of display interpretation software to provide visitors with a new approach in the process of discovering the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups at the Museum. This is the inevitable development trend of domestic and international museums today in applying Industrial Revolution 4.0 technology. With this model, visitors can proactively and easily access to learn the explanatory content according to the tour itinerary of the Museum’s indoor and outdoor areas.
Handicrafts are one of the key areas in cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges in ASEAN, creating a strong connection between artisans and creative artists, between businesses and consumers, contributing to ensuring livelihoods for artisans as well as the community; towards sustainable socio-economic development of localities and ASEAN member countries.
