(TITC) – A display to mark the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (27th July 1947 – 27th July 2022) has been launched by Hoa Lo Prison Relic under the theme “Deep notes of July”. The display will last until 31st October 2022.
The display “Deep notes of July” is a touching story about the resilient will and heroic sacrifices of patriotic and revolutionary soldiers when they were captured by the enemy and imprisoned in Hoa Lo prison. Thematic exhibition was organised to contribute to pay gratitude to heroes, martyrs and former political prisoners in the past.

Including 3 main contents “Aspirations for the country”, “Under the red flag” and “Forever in hearts”, the display space is in red and black colours as the decoration. The centre is designed into a lotus flower with a lidded gratitude candle, showing the eternal gratitude of generations towards heroes and martyrs who have devoted their entire youth and life to gain back national liberation.

The display “Deep notes of July” indicates stories about the heroic sacrifices of patriotic soldiers when imprisoned in Hoa Lo prison. Bearing barbarous tortures, or even stepping a foot to the hell, the soldiers kept their resilience. “Better die on your feet than live on your knees”, the sacrifice of the soldiers rang “The bell to wake up the soul of the country”, expressing the burning desire for independence for the country of Vietnam.
Visitors are recommended to pre book the service to enjoy full experience, to listen to the narration, combine with watching the role play about the struggle for increasing the amount of water for daily life of political prisoners next to the restored collective bath, and the scene about the last days of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh – Secretary of the Northern Party Committee in the death cell of Hoa Lo prison.
The display “Deep notes of July” will last until 31st October 2022 at Hoa Lo Prison Relic (No.1 Hoa Lo Street, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi).
