Lao Cai develops tourism sustainably

Lao Cai, a mountainous border province in northwestern Vietnam, has many advantages for developing tourism: pleasant climate, natural beauty, and unique ethnic cultures. Lao Cai has, so far this year, received 3.5 million tourists, 42% of the yearly target. Efforts have been made to improve the quality of existing tourism products and creating more community and green products.

Soc Trang: Khmer people preserve rattan weaving, engage in tourism

Bamboo and rattan weaving in Phu Tan commune, Soc Trang province, is more than 100 years old. Khmer ethnic people there are combining the traditional craft preservation and tourism development to turn the commune into an attractive destination.

Through ups and downs, with the perseverance, and dedication of local talented artisans, the traditional silver making craft of Dinh Cong has been restored, passed down, and become a unique feature of thousand-year-old Ha Noi.

Khanh Hoa: Community-based tourism training for residents

Ninh Hoa Town People’s Committee in cooperation with Nha Trang university held a community-based tourism training course for 36 residents involved in community-based tourism services in Ninh Van Commune.
