As part of its working trip to the Mekong Delta region, a delegation from Ninh Binh province, led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Song Tung, on September 15 surveyed tourism destinations of Dong Thap and Kien Giang provinces.
The delegation visit national relic site dedicated to Nguyen Sinh Sac, father of late President Ho Chi Minh.
The delegation visited Huynh Le old house in Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province. It is the oldest and most intact one in the Mekong Delta region.
The national relic site has attracted tourists by its unique design of Eastern and Western cultures.
Later, the delegation offered incense at the national relic site dedicated to Nguyen Sinh Sac, father of late President Ho Chi Minh.
Visiting the tourist site of Xeo Quyt – a former battle field of the southern region in the war time, the delegation was moved by the brave spirit of the local people in the past fight against the French and American invaders.

Covering an area of 50 hectares, including 20 hectares of primitive indigo forest, Xeo Quyt is well preserved by Kien Giang authorities and it has become a unique tourist site in combination with historical relic places.
Visiting Kien Giang, the delegation surveyed the sea-encroached urban complex of Phu Cuong, which is the most modern urban – tourism area in the Mekong Delta region.
The visit provided a chance for travel firms and the tourism sector of Ninh Binh to learn experience in exploiting natural conditions and potential for tourism development.
It also helped travel companies to exchange tourist flows and expand domestic markets, thereby creating sustainable cooperation in tourism development.
