Phu Tho is a province with many craft villages that have been formed, existed and developed for a long time, each craft village has its own unique characteristics. With the advantages of the Fatherland – where the Hung Kings started setting the capital and building the country, craft villages have exploited the strength of roots tourism combined with sightseeing and experience, contributing to increasing income for the local people, creating a highlight and increasing the attraction for tourists.

10 years ago, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism built the program “Xoan singing in ancient villages” in association with tours – tourist routes serving delegations to attend the Hung Kings “Death Anniversary – Hung Kings” Temple Festival every year.

The leading British and American travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler (CN Traveler), wrote an article praising an enchanting experience that encourages travellers to visit InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in the central city of Da Nang.

The imperial city of Hue has long been famous for its many cultural and historical heritages as well as unique craft villages, including the Thuy Xuan incense making village (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province).

American magazine Forbes has named the northern Vietnamese province of Ninh Binh among the top 23 best places to travel this year.

Phuoc Tich village (also called Ke Dooc village) is a small pottery village by the O Lau river, which is about 40 km to the north of Hue city. More than 500 years ago, it was a famous pottery production and trade hub supplying products to all central provinces. The Huong River Museum of Ancient Pottery displays 5,000 Phuoc Tich ceramic artifacts, dated from the 17th to 18th century.

The northern province of Lao Cai will be developed to become a growth pole and a “bridge” connecting economic relations between Viet Nam and ASEAN Member States with Southwest China.
